Important information about shopping with Zobox.

This Warranty Policy (“Warranty Policy”) applies to eligible products purchased from Zobox Protech Limited, doing business as “Zobox”, through www.newweb.zobox.in/, Zobox applications, stores, or other sales channels operated by Zobox (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).

By purchasing or using a product from Zobox, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy.

1. Scope of Warranty

Zobox deals in electronic products, including new, refurbished, pre-owned, open-box and other electronic devices and accessories. The warranty applicable to a product may vary depending upon the product category, condition, brand, seller and warranty plan offered at the time of purchase.

The applicable warranty period and warranty type will be mentioned on the product page, invoice, order confirmation, warranty card or other documentation provided with the product.

Where a product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, the terms and conditions specified by the respective manufacturer shall apply.

Where a product is covered by a Zobox warranty, the terms stated in this Warranty Policy shall apply.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period starts from the date of delivery of the product to the customer unless otherwise specifically mentioned on the invoice, product page or warranty document.

Different products may carry different warranty periods. Customers should check the applicable warranty period before completing their purchase.

The warranty period shall not automatically restart or extend after repair or replacement of a product unless specifically communicated by Zobox in writing.

3. What is Covered Under Warranty

Subject to the applicable warranty terms, Zobox warranty generally covers functional or hardware defects arising during normal and intended use of the product.

This may include:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Internal hardware malfunction.
  • Failure of components under normal usage.
  • Functional defects that prevent the device from operating as intended.
  • Other defects specifically covered under the warranty offered with the product.

Zobox or its authorized service partner will inspect the product before accepting any warranty claim.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage to the product.
  • Broken or cracked screen, display, body, frame or glass.
  • Scratches, dents, discoloration or cosmetic deterioration.
  • Water or liquid damage.
  • Damage caused by moisture, excessive heat, fire or environmental conditions.

  • Damage caused by unauthorized repair, modification, opening or tampering with the product.

  • Products with altered, damaged, removed or illegible serial numbers, IMEI numbers or identification labels.
  • Products for which valid proof of purchase cannot be provided.
  • Defects or conditions that were clearly disclosed to the customer before purchase.

5. Battery Warranty

Batteries are consumable components and naturally lose capacity over time.

Normal reduction in battery capacity due to usage and ageing shall not be considered a manufacturing or functional defect.

Battery replacement under warranty will only be provided where the battery is found to be defective and the defect is covered under the applicable warranty provided with the product.

6. Accessories

Accessories supplied with a product, including chargers, charging cables, adapters, earphones and other accessories, may have a different warranty period from the main product.

The applicable accessory warranty, if any, will be mentioned on the product page, invoice or warranty documentation.

Physical damage and normal wear and tear of accessories are not covered unless specifically stated otherwise.

7. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim, the customer should contact Zobox customer support and provide the required information, including:

  • Customer name.
  • Order number or invoice number.
  • Product details.
  • IMEI or serial number, where applicable.
  • Description of the issue.
  • Photographs or videos of the product, where requested.
  • Copy of the purchase invoice or other valid proof of purchase.

Zobox may conduct preliminary troubleshooting before requesting the customer to submit the product for physical inspection.

The customer must follow the instructions provided by Zobox regarding shipment, pickup or submission of the product to an authorized service location.

8. Product Inspection

All warranty claims are subject to technical inspection and verification by Zobox or an authorized service partner.

The inspection will determine:

  • Whether the reported issue exists.
  • Whether the product is within the applicable warranty period.
  • Whether the defect is covered by the warranty.
  • Whether the product shows signs of accidental damage, liquid damage, unauthorized repair or misuse.
  • Whether the IMEI, serial number or other product identification matches Zobox's records.

The decision regarding warranty eligibility will be made after completing the inspection.

9. Repair or Replacement

If a valid warranty claim is approved, Zobox may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • Repair the defective product or component;
  • Replace the defective component;
  • Replace the product with the same or an equivalent product; or
  • Provide another appropriate remedy where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Replacement products may be new, refurbished or equivalent in functionality and condition, depending upon the nature of the original product and applicable warranty.

Availability of an identical model, colour, storage capacity or variant cannot always be guaranteed.

10. Replacement Product

If Zobox approves replacement of a product and the exact model is unavailable, Zobox may offer an equivalent product with similar specifications and value.

Where an equivalent replacement cannot reasonably be provided, Zobox may offer another resolution in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and law.

11. Data and Backup

Customers are responsible for backing up all personal data before submitting a device for inspection, repair or replacement.

Warranty servicing may require formatting, resetting, software installation or replacement of storage components, which may result in complete loss of data.

Zobox shall not be responsible for loss of contacts, photographs, videos, documents, applications, account information or any other data stored on the device, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Customers should remove SIM cards, memory cards and other personal accessories before submitting the product unless specifically requested otherwise.

Before submitting a smartphone, tablet, laptop or other account-linked device for warranty service, customers may be required to:

  • Remove screen locks.
  • Disable device tracking features.
  • Sign out of Apple ID, Google Account or other manufacturer accounts.
  • Disable activation locks, Find My Device, Find My iPhone or equivalent services.

Zobox may be unable to inspect, repair or replace a device while an activation lock or account lock remains active.

13. IMEI and Serial Number Verification

Warranty services are applicable only to the product originally purchased from Zobox.

The IMEI number, serial number or other identification details of the product submitted for warranty must match the information available in the invoice or Zobox's records.

Any alteration, removal or manipulation of identification numbers may result in rejection of the warranty claim.

14. Refurbished and Pre-Owned Products

Refurbished, renewed, open-box and pre-owned products may show reasonable signs of previous usage depending upon their advertised condition or grading.

Minor scratches, cosmetic marks or other conditions disclosed at the time of purchase shall not constitute defects under this Warranty Policy.

The functional condition of the product shall be covered only according to the warranty specified at the time of purchase.

15. Manufacturer Warranty

Certain products sold through Zobox may be covered directly by the manufacturer's warranty.

For such products, customers may be required to contact the manufacturer's authorized service centre.

Manufacturer warranty claims shall be governed by the warranty terms and policies of the respective manufacturer.

Zobox may assist customers with information regarding the applicable manufacturer warranty but cannot modify the manufacturer's warranty conditions.

16. Third-Party Sellers and Service Providers

Where products or warranty services are provided by third-party sellers, manufacturers, authorized service centres or service partners, the applicable third-party terms may also apply.

Where reasonably possible, Zobox will communicate the reason for rejection of a warranty claim.

18. Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If a product is not covered under warranty, Zobox or its service partner may offer paid repair services, where available.

Any estimated repair charges will ordinarily be communicated to the customer before carrying out a chargeable repair.

The customer may choose whether to proceed with such repair.

19. Shipping and Logistics

For eligible warranty claims, pickup or shipping arrangements may be provided depending upon the customer's location, product category and applicable warranty.

Customers must package products securely when sending them for inspection or repair.

Zobox shall not be responsible for damage resulting from inadequate packaging by the customer, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

20. Turnaround Time

Zobox will make reasonable efforts to inspect and resolve warranty claims within a reasonable period.

  • Events beyond Zobox's reasonable control.

Any estimated resolution time communicated to the customer is indicative unless expressly guaranteed.

21. Limitation of Warranty

This Warranty Policy provides warranty protection only to the extent expressly stated herein or in the warranty terms applicable to the specific product.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, Zobox shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the failure, repair, replacement or unavailability of a product.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights available to consumers under applicable Indian laws that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

22. Fraudulent Claims

Zobox reserves the right to reject claims involving suspected fraud, manipulation, false information, substituted products, altered IMEI/serial numbers or intentional damage.

Zobox may take appropriate action in cases of suspected fraudulent activity in accordance with applicable law.

23. Relationship with Return and Refund Policy

Warranty claims are different from returns, cancellations and refunds.

Returns or refunds requested within an applicable return period will be governed by Zobox's Return, Replacement, Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Once the applicable return period has expired, eligible product defects will ordinarily be handled under the applicable warranty terms.

24. Changes to Warranty Policy

Zobox may update or modify this Warranty Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, products, business practices or applicable laws.

Any updated Warranty Policy will become effective upon publication on the Zobox Platform unless otherwise stated.

The warranty applicable to a product will remain subject to the warranty terms provided or applicable at the time of purchase, except where changes are required by applicable law.

25. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
